Metal Garage Storage Cabinets – As the title suggests, the last part of this project included the purchase, assembly, and installation of cabinets in the garage. As I said before, I do not like to ‘save’ anything on the floor, I do not like open shelves much, I prefer enclosed cabinets since they help make space look much tidier. After considering and discarding for various reasons such as size, price and design of various cabinet options available in different stores, on the Internet and even in the classifieds. They definitely cost a lot more than I had planned to spend, however, justify the purchase with the idea that as they are made of metal, at least in theory.
They should last much longer, which in turn would allow me to take them if in future I decide to move to another house. In total, buy five 30 “x 72”, three 30 “x 36” floor cabinets, two with drawers and one without drawers and three 30 “x 30” wall cabinets each. From what I see, some seem to be no longer available. The metal garage storage cabinets as expected, were delivered in boxes, were to be assembled for installation. Fortunately, it was very easy to assemble, I took 10 to 15 minutes each, in less than 2 hours were ready for installation. When I bought them, they offered me a “professional assembly service”, but as you can imagine, I decided to do it myself.
For several reasons, the most important of all being the space, I decided to install the metal garage storage cabinets on the left wall of the garage. First install the 30 “x 72” two and three 30 “x 36” floor cabinets in the middle, then install the three 30 “x 30” wall cabinets. With all the cabinets in place, it was time to finally celebrate the culmination of the project and after so many hours of work, I could start enjoying my new garage.
